An oceanfront fitness buff working out daily at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center, she is a holder of current Red Cross Lifesaving certification and swimming instruction certification. As the owner and director of NOBE Art Gallery, Brooke offers artistic and commercial photography, custom framing and sales of works by a variety of well known and emerging artists. The gallery with its broad appeal and regular art and charity events is a mainstay of Fort Lauderdale’s rising North Beach District.
She comes from a strong background of discipline, ethics, values and worldly culture. Having attended and achieved honor role grades at Parochial schools, she was raised in a military family. She lived in eight different places before graduating high school including a 2-year tour of South Korea. While attending Florida Atlantic University majoring in Business with a minor in photography, Brooke sustained a horrific automobile accident. They did not think she would live due to the seriousness of the injuries. She had brain injuries, fractured vertebrate in her neck fractured pelvis etc. Through her determination she overcame the odds. She is a true miracle! In less than a year Ms. Trace started at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and had secured an internship at MTV, Viacom Networks, in New York City. Brooke is known for her dramatic photography of the ocean and her sunrise photos have been carried on the web sites of newspapers and television news alike. Her photographs have been on the covers of magazines.
Brooke has published a book of photography of the natural beauty of the Everglades, all important to our ecosystem in South Florida. Brooke’s photographs and custom framing work decorates some of our most beautiful homes and yachts. Her compilation piece of beach photos in 2011, City of Fort Lauderdale 100 Years, was honored by the Fort Lauderdale Centennial committee and hangs in City Hall. Recently her photographs of multiple waterspouts in Lauderdale by the Sea were featured on WSVN, CBS4 and in the Sun-Sentinel newspaper.Seaside Treasures Collection is Brooke's line of fine art photography products are available online and at North Beach Art Gallery.Her silk pillows with seashells and sea fans are elegant in natural earth tones. Brooke's seashell collage placemats and matching coasters bring the nautical decor to the dining area. She has had her images sublimated on to glass tiles and tumbled tiles. Seahorse pendants on shell and teardrop crystals with blue and brown cord necklace sets in decorative gift boxes are among her products. Her fine art limited edition prints exquisitely framed at her gallery. She had matted prints and greeting card sets available as well. Work with interior designers has made her flexible for commission print to size, shooting and custom framing.
Brooke has served on Boards for the Bonnet House Alliance, Broward Art Guild and Oakland Park Wilton Manors Chamber of Commerce. But she is perhaps best known for her community events benefitting a myriad of charities such as the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society, Second Chance Society, Wounded Warriors, Abandoned Pet Rescue and much more. This year she chaired the silent auction for the American Cancer Society's Birthday Ball. Brenda Salgado. #BRENDASALGADO is a Female #Television #FilmProducer and #Director. Hailing from Miami, Brenda graduated from the International Fine Arts College in 1997. After college, she worked as a production assistant in several commercials, movies, and music videos. From 1999-2005,Salgado worked as a Camera Technician for ABC affiliate, WPLG, a position that would catapult her into the next phase in her career as a prominent female filmmaker.
Her first introduction to filmmaking came from her father. His constant documenting of family events and moments wowed the young Salgado, whose memories of her father’s early filmmaking continues to motivate and influence her everyday. This exposure led to a life long affair with TV and film.Salgado’s first project was a short film titled “Last Chance”. After that she went on to Direct and/or Produce projects such as “The Sabina Show” with Supermodel/ Designer Sabine Barnett and “Behind the Scenes of music video for Sweetest Girl” with musician and record producer Wyclef Jean.
Brenda started her own production company,Time 2 Shine Productions in 2006.In late 2009 Brenda moved to the west side of the country to Los Angeles where she worked on several projects. In 2010 she was positioned as b-roll unit director of photography in the fascinating and controversial documentary film Dark Girls. From 2009-2011, Brenda was the associate producer/camera operator in the documentary film The making of a First Rounder: The Desean Jackson Story.
Currently Brenda is directing/producing a documentary film The Playbook. This project is aimed to encourage and inspire all students, not only athletes to make academics a priority in order to have grander career opportunities and a real expectation of what the "real world" has to offer. In 2013, the documentary China “The Dragon” Smith – The Second Chance was produced about China’s life, boxing career and quest to return to the boxing ring to capture a third World Championship title.
